Evaluation of image quality for x-ray imaging systems
Subjective evaluations of image quality have long been practiced, trading inherent limitations for ease of performance. More objective, mathematical approaches have also long been used in laboratory settings. With the increased digitization of medical imaging comes the opportunity to implement more objective, mathematical approaches for the clinical measurement of image quality.
